Meet Tarik from PhD...

Protein is a serious buzz word at the moment so we meet Tarik from PhD to discuss. Here’s what he had to say...

Why is protein important?

Protein is a component of every cell in your body and is needed to build and repair tissue. It’s an important building block of muscle, bone, cartilage, skin and blood.

What PhD products would you recommend for someone training daily to either bulk up or get lean?

For someone who is looking to bulk up, PhD would recommend ‘Advanced Mass’ which is our most serious mass gaining formula, particularly designed for anyone who is undertaking the ‘bulk phase’ of their nutritional plan. For getting lean, PhD recommends ‘Diet Whey’ which is low in fat, sugar and salt and only contains 91 calories per 25g serving when mixed with water.

Are there any exciting new flavours or products coming soon from PhD?

We are really excited at PhD HQ to announce that we have one our best-selling products ‘Diet Whey’ being launched in a new and exclusive salted caramel flavour. A perfect flavour to compliment some of The Skinny Kitchen shakes, pancakes and waffles!

What’s the strangest thing you’ve seen recently that is branded ‘high protein’?

Insect protein… not sure if I would fancy this blended in my protein shake!!

What’s your favourite post workout PhD product?

It has to be Diet Whey. It tastes amazing, high in protein, low in sugar and carbs and it has added L-Carnitine and green tea extract to aid weight management.

Lastly, what is your favourite meal at The Skinny Kitchen?

This is a tough one! It’s got to be the ‘Clean and jerk’ main gains meal and if there’s still room the ‘Chocolate hazelnut protein pancakes’!
