What is the quickest and healthiest breakfast you can have?

We get asked this quite a lot - what is the healthiest breakfast I can have that is quick to make? Because none of us want to be slaving over a stove for even more than 10 minutes in the morning. Beds are just way too comfy, and we get that. So we’ve got together a few ideas of quick and easy breakfasts that require little or no cooking.

Overnight oats

A few years back these hit the healthy eating scene in a big way, but why are we talking about them less! Super quick, easy to make, prepped in advance and really healthy. We so aren't over over night oats!!

Try this recipe:


1 cup oats

1/2 mashed banana

1 teaspoon of honey

1 teaspoon of chia seeds

1 teaspoon of goji berries

1 teaspoon of cocoa

Handful of berries (can be frozen berries as they thaw out)

1 cup almond milk (add more or less if you like thicker/runnier)


  1. Mash everything together and store in jars. Can be made for the next 3-4 days in advance

Why is it a quick and healthy breakfast?

Make this on a sunday and you simply have to get your jar out of the fridge each morning to eat. You can even eat it on the go, if you really dont have time to stop at home for breakfast. This meal is packed with antioxidants from the goji berries, cocoa and berries as well as good carbs to keep you feeling full from the oats.

Smoked salmon, boiled eggs and avocado with wholemeal toast

This can be a really quick breakfast if you boil you eggs in advance and have the peeled and ready to go in the fridge. Or you can use an build egg maker where you simply put the eggs in and it lets you know when they are done. Either way, this is minimal prep. Toast the bread, peel the avocado, grab the salmon and build egg from the fridge and done!


Smoked salmon

Half an avocado

2 slices of wholemeal bread

1 or 2 boiled eggs


  1. Toast the bread

  2. Peel the avocado

  3. Get the salmon and egg from the fridge

  4. Enjoy!

Why is it a quick and healthy breakfast?

Your getting an excellent source of omega 3/6 as well as healthy fats to start your day. The carbs from the wholemeal bread will give you energy to get you through the morning. If you prep the eggs in advance this will be really simple to make each morning.

Green smoothie

Once you get the hang of what you like in a smoothie and making it the right consistency, its so simple to do and a great way to get a quick breakfast. If you want to make this even easier then cut up your fruit and veg in advance and keep it in separate boxes in the fridge so you simply get the box out, mix it with the milk you want and blend.

Handful of spinach

2 florets of broccoli

2 table spoons of greek yogurt

1 teaspoon of chia seeds

1/2 banana

1/2 cup frozen berries

Almond or cows milk

Protein powder (optional)


  1. Add all to a blender and blend!
